Bosnia and Herzegovina's Federation motorway operator, Autoceste FBiH, selected a consortium of local builders Hering and KTM-Brina for two sections of the planned expressway from Mostar toward the Croatian border, according to a company notice reported by SeeNews on 11 September. [1]
The award is valued at 153.4 million convertible marka, or about €78.4 million, excluding VAT. It covers the 8.28-kilometre Uzarici–Polugrno section and the 4.9-kilometre Polog–Uzarici section. [1]
ContextThe procurement advances a cross-border transport corridor, but the award is a construction contract rather than evidence that either section has been completed or opened. [1]
