Serbian state utility Elektroprivreda Srbije issued a public call on 5 September for companies interested in selling renewable-energy projects or developing them jointly with EPS. The company says the competitive process is intended to expand renewable generation and diversify its portfolio. [1]
One group covers grid-connected solar, onshore wind and hybrid projects of at least 50 MW. A second covers biomass, waste-to-energy, biogas and green-hydrogen projects, generally with minimum power capacity of 1 MW. Battery storage is optional for solar and wind proposals but receives additional weight in evaluation. [1]
ContextEPS may offer the sites and infrastructure of the Morava and Kolubara A coal plants for joint projects in the second group. The call begins a selection process; it does not mean that EPS has already acquired or approved any individual project. [1] [2]
