Serbia's Energy Agency has granted Bulgarian state-owned supplier Bulgargaz a 10-year licence for wholesale natural-gas supply, the company said on 25 September. The licence was reported by Bulgarian news agency BTA and SeeNews. [1][2]
Bulgargaz said the approval allows it to operate in Serbia's wholesale market. It adds Serbia to the foreign markets for which the company holds trading or supply authorisations. [1][2]
ContextA market licence authorises commercial activity but does not by itself show that a new supply contract has been signed or that additional gas volumes have started flowing into Serbia. [1][2]
