EU and Western Balkan ministers met in Budva on 5–6 November to discuss online crime, migration and justice cooperation. Ireland’s Jim O’Callaghan represented the Council presidency alongside Justice Commissioner Michael McGrath; representatives of the incoming Lithuanian and Greek presidencies also attended. [1]
The joint statement called for stronger digital investigations, cross-border cooperation and anti-corruption records, including high-level cases and asset confiscation. Participants also addressed visa-policy alignment and child protection. These are policy priorities and cooperation commitments; the release does not establish new arrests or implementation results.
