Moldova and Romania signed documents in Bucharest on 2 November enabling joint procurement of military trucks under Romania’s existing framework with Italy’s IDV Defence Vehicles. Moldova’s resource agency also signed a contract for 62 IVECO trucks in three configurations. [2]
Moldova’s Defence Ministry said its trucks will be paid for from the national defence budget. The Romanian project forms part of its SAFE-related investment plan. The announcements concern contracting and future equipment, rather than delivery of the 62 vehicles. [1][2]
