Italian renewable developer Renexia and Montenegro's Sistem-MNE signed a memorandum of understanding in Portonovi on 21 October for a planned wind-and-solar portfolio exceeding 1 GW. The companies put the potential investment at about €1.2 billion. [1] [2]

Renexia said the portfolio could produce about 2.3 TWh a year and support up to 1,000 direct and indirect jobs during an estimated four-year construction period. The memorandum follows an April cooperation agreement between Renexia and Montenegro's government. [1]

ContextThe announcement is an early-stage memorandum rather than a final investment decision. The companies did not disclose project sites, permits, financing arrangements or a construction start date, so the stated capacity, cost and jobs remain plans rather than completed commitments. [1] [2]
