Romanian and Polish armaments officials signed a letter of intent in Bucharest on 30 September to expand defence-industry cooperation. The Romanian Defence Ministry said the document covers bilateral work as well as cooperation within NATO and the European Union. [1]

The parties identified close cooperation on Romania's procurement of a loitering-munition strike system, a project to be financed through the EU's Security Action for Europe instrument. The ministry did not announce a contract value, supplier selection or delivery schedule. [1]

ContextThe signed letter establishes a cooperation framework rather than confirming that systems have been purchased or delivered. Any later contract or industrial arrangement will require separate documentation. [1]
