Romania scrambled two F-16s on 15 September after detecting aerial targets over Ukraine near its border, the Defence Ministry said. Authorities sent warnings to residents of northern Tulcea County during the early morning. [1]

The ministry reported two RO-Alert messages, at 03:18 and 04:51 local time. It said there was no breach of Romanian airspace and that the alert ended at 05:18. The episode was an air-policing response, not a confirmed new incursion. [1]
