NATO Deputy Secretary General Radmila Shekerinska met Moldovan President Maia Sandu, Foreign Minister Mihai Popșoi and Defence Minister Anatolie Nosatîi during a visit on 8–9 October, NATO said. The talks reviewed Moldova’s partnership with the alliance and measures intended to strengthen resilience and defence institutions. [1]

NATO said its Defence Capacity Building package for Moldova totals about €50 million. The alliance itemised more than €12 million in body armour and helmets, more than €7 million for safe ammunition storage and more than €4 million in IT equipment and software for cyber protection. [1]

ContextShekerinska also cited NATO assistance for a cyber-defence facility and a military cyber-response team, while noting Moldova’s contribution to KFOR. The statement describes partnership support; it does not alter Moldova’s constitutional neutrality or announce NATO membership talks. [1]
